ALICJA PASZKIEL

Performance and intermedia artist based in Warsaw, she works with language and context - whether engineered or found. Her practice centers on desire, the relationship between body and knowledge, and the politics of autobiography.
Her creative process consists largely of dispersed, multi-layered research, which she navigates through curiosity, pleasure, and surprise. During the creation process, she primarily reads and reflects. The outcomes of this process are seen as maps or tools that invite the audience to delve into her narrative. As an artist, she aims to seduce the audience to the extent that they allow themselves to be submerged in a deluge of indulgent content, or at least, to be guided through it on a scenic journey.
